URGO Medical Research and Education Support Program
Urgo Medical is proud to support innovation and advancement in wound care through our Research and Education Support Program. This program is dedicated to funding meritorious research and educational projects related to wound care prevention and treatment, and evidence-based practices. We encourage submissions from individuals and organizations focused on improving wound care through impactful research and education.
Program Overview
Our Support Program is open to proposals year-round and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. We welcome applications for both research and education-related support.
Research Support is available for proposals that contribute to the advancement of wound care. Educational Support is offered to support clinician training, wound care education, and awareness initiatives.
Eligible Applicants
- Research Applicants: We seek well-qualified professionals, including those with advanced medical or scientific degrees, who are dedicated to expanding the knowledge base in wound care.
- Educational Applicants: Support is available to bona fide associations such as Wound Care Nursing association chapters.
- Organizations that are devoted to wound and skin care
- Health Care Institutions that can deliver accredited educational programs (e.g., CE/CME certification)
- For certain applications with merit from qualified organizations, non-accredited education will be considered for support.
Institutions That Qualify for Support
Support can be awarded to applicants who are working in organizations such as hospitals or university research departments, whose institutions will be associated by investigator’s research work. Funding is not provided directly to individuals, but only to institutions/organizations.
Application Process
Applications for both research and education Supports must be submitted via email. All proposals will be carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with the objectives of the Urgo Medical Support Program.
How to Apply
- Prepare Your Proposal: Ensure that your application meets the program’s eligibility criteria and outlines the objectives of your research or educational initiative. You can discuss with the Medical Affairs team at Urgo if you have any questions on the development of the application. The request for funding must be detailed via line items to demonstrate how the requested funding will be used. There is no page limit to the proposal, though a well-referenced and thoughtful work plan that clarifies the nature of the research is encouraged. Additional details may be sought to complete a review of the submitted proposal.
- Submit Your Application: Send your completed proposal via email to the contact information provided.
- Review & Approval: All applications are evaluated based on merit, feasibility, and potential impact on the wound/skin care field. Applicants whose proposal was accepted will be notified, and appropriate funding will be provided to support the project. All reporting to appropriate authorities will happen per local or national regulations.
